NOLLYWOOD! - Social Media Week Lagos

NOLLYWOOD! The Power of Being Social

This was my favorite Social Media Week Lagos event because I had the opportunity to meet  Best of Nollywood BON Awards CEO Seun Oloketuy , Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka plus Nigerian superstar bloggers Linda Ikeji and Olori Supergal.

I began watching Nollywood movies on irokotv on youtube to learn about Nigerian culture before my trip to Lagos for Social Media Week Lagos.

My French professor taught me the best way to learn another culture is through the appreciation of cinema. We regularly discussed French Cinema as part of learning French Language and Culture.

The same concept applies to learning Nigerian Languages (Pidgin English and Yoruba) as well as Nigerian Culture. So if you are traveling to Nigeria for business, I suggest watching Nollywood films on irokotv.com as preparation for developing business relationships.

Mercy Johnson is one of my favorite Nollywood actresses.

Check out a Nollywood playlist of some movies that I have enjoyed watching below.
